NARRATIVE
MY WORK
I’m Jay Zellman, award-winning Producer, Director, and Writer with a passion for telling stories that captivate and inspire. As the Executive Producer and Director of Corporate Video Concepts (CVC), the production agency I founded, I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the world’s most iconic brands creating dynamic content that pushes boundaries and delivers results. My journey has taken me to over 15 countries, where I’ve filmed, collaborated, and built an international network that fuels my creative vision.
Notable accounts include: Tiffany & Co., Brooks Brothers, Tumi, Anheuser Busch, Deloitte, Kaiser Permanente, Total Wine and More, Crestron Electronics, Vince, Clinique, Rusk Hair Care, BIC International, JP Morgan Chase, The Children's Place, Journeys, Unilever, Redken, Philip Morris USA, Party City, Silicon Valley Bank, JBL, FAO Schwarz, Warnaco, Toyota, Cosco, Crabtree & Evelyn, Maidenform, Talbots, Hertz, Hill & Knowlton, Time Inc., Energizer Personal Care
But my story doesn’t stop there. In the entertainment world, I’ve made my mark with projects that have both entertained and challenged audiences. My TV pilot, Ranting & Raving, burst onto the scene, racking up awards like Best Director at both the East Hampton TV Festival and New York City TV Festival. The pilot also won Best Comedy at the Jersey Shore Film Festival, Portland Comedy Film Festival, Austin Comedy Film Festival, Houston Comedy Film Festival, and East Hampton TV Festival.
The pandemic was no obstacle; it was an opportunity. During that time, I wrote Rédemption, a gritty, noir-inspired feature that won Best Feature Screenplay at the Paris International Film Festival and was a finalist at the Bowery Film Festival, as well as a semi-finalist at the Flickers’ Rhode Island Film Festival. My Drama, The Harlem Butcher was a finalist at the Sacramento and Harlem Film Festivals, also earning a semi-finalist spot at Flickers and my short comedy screenplay, Victor's Scam picked up multiple awards, showing my range across genres.
Post-Pandemic, I returned to the director’s chair with Lake Life, a dark comedy inspired by my own experiences of city life crashing into rural chaos. This seven-minute piece won Best Comedy at the Houston Comedy Film Festival, best Short Screenplay at the Manhattan Film Festival and was an official selection in the Big Apple Film Festival.
Most recently, I was tapped by Indie Filmmaker Evan Oppenheimer to produce Peas and Carrots, a heartwarming family film starring Kirrilee Berger, Jordan Bridges, and Amy Carlson, set for a 2025 release.
What’s next? More excitement, more bold storytelling, and more films that make you think, laugh, and feel. I’m just getting started.
